« To Increase Your Online Profits, You’ll Want To Recruit As Many Top Affiliates As Possible Into Your Affiliate Program. | Home | Working With Your Affiliates Is Sort Of A Give-and-take Situation. The Affiliates Are Willing To Utilize Their Time To Promote Your Products In Return For A Sizable Commission Of Each Sale They Make. In Return, You Allow Them To Sell Your Product For A Percentage Of The Sale Price, Which Helps To Spread The Word About Your Product Farther And Faster Than You Could Ever Do Via Your Own Promotional Efforts. »

When You Are Recruiting Top-performing Affiliates, You Need To Present Special Perks Exclusive To Those Affiliates. This Can Include Special Commission Rates For Them (that Are Higher Than Normal Affiliates), Special Offers They Can Present To Their Subscribers And Visitors To Their Web Page (again, That Normal Affiliates Won’t Have The Privilege Of Presenting), And Even Willing To Promote Their Products And Services At A Later Date (something That You Wouldn’t Do For Normal Affiliates).

You will likely present many special privileges to these affiliates in an effort to recruit them into your affiliate program.

Make sure you keep track of what you promise them and then deliver on it. Your reputation is at stake here - if you go ahead and promise everything to these top-performing affiliates, but then either go back on your word or forget to provide them with everything you promised, chances are, they’ll leave your affiliate program and go to another who keeps his/her word. This will also severely damage, if not cripple, your efforts to recruit top-performing affiliates in the future, not to mention your ability to sell your own products yourself.

Reputation means virtually everything online and is very difficult to regain once you’ve lost it. Do not promise what you cannot or will not keep just to get top-performing affiliates to join your force - in the end, you’ll destroy your ability to do business online.

Only promise what you are able to deliver on (though it needs to be valuable to successfully recruit top-performing affiliates, no question about that). By remembering this simple rule, you’ll maintain your reputation, which will go a long way toward you achieving online.
